Which organs in the human body are prone to cancer?

Since some time, it seems that more and more people around us have gotten cancer. Almost everyone has heard that their acquaintances, friends, colleagues or even very young classmates have suddenly gotten some kind of cancer every now and then. As we see each and every living life suffering or leaving us, some people always lament that cancer is “unpreventable”. So, which organs of human body are most vulnerable to cancer? What are their characteristics that are easy to be ignored? Lung: Cancer that can be acquired by both smokers and non-smokers If you think that only smokers can be caught by “lung cancer”, you are very wrong. As the most common malignant tumor, it is so widespread and harmful that it can affect all men, women and children, and once it is detected, it is often at an advanced stage. The lungs are an open organ, a “window” for the human body to communicate with nature, and all harmful substances in nature will first come into close contact with it. Therefore, staying away from tobacco, ventilating at home, wearing masks, driving less, reducing exposure to kitchen fumes, and using environmentally friendly decoration materials can all keep lung cancer away in the first place. Liver: Cancer that comes out of drinking Unlike other cancer “brothers”, liver cancer has very few primary cases and is almost always caused by hepatitis B or C virus infection and long-term alcoholism leading to liver cirrhosis. According to a survey, nearly 40% of patients develop liver cancer due to alcoholism, so it is not too much to say that liver cancer is “drunk” out. The aflatoxin released from rotten cereals and beans is also a cause of the disease. The most important thing to stop liver cancer is to control hepatitis B and limit alcohol. In addition, according to the World Health Organization, eating more dairy products can reduce the prevalence of liver cancer by 78%; eating fresh fruit every day can also reduce the chances of cancer by 52%. Stomach: the most afraid of cancer that does not adhere to the “concept of time” Hungry meal, full meal; three irregular meals; like to eat hot food; prefer smoked, heavy, pickled food; smoking, lack of sleep …… If you have these habits, your chances of getting stomach cancer may be several times higher than normal people. Stomach is an organ that is used to follow a “schedule”. Unhealthy and irregular habits can provide a “good” ground for the development of stomach cancer. Studies have shown that Helicobacter pylori is also an important cause of stomach cancer, and it is most often found in people’s overwhelming “communal” meals. Early gastric cancer is very insidious, so it is often confused with gastritis and peptic ulcer, so most gastric cancer patients are diagnosed in the middle and late stages. Breast cancer is arguably the most feminine cancer, and in recent years, it has leaped to the top of the list of female cancers. It is caused by many factors, among which, women who have early menstruation, late menopause, late marriage and childbirth, obesity, high-fat and high-protein food, and long-term use of estrogen are more dangerous. And the patients are gradually getting younger, which is also related to the abuse of cosmetics, indiscriminate use of health care products and excessive mental stress. Although breast cancer is threatening and difficult to cure, its natural course is usually long, so the best way to reduce mortality is early detection and early treatment. Early detection can be done by observation and touching to find any significant asymmetry as well as irregular lumps in both breasts. Kidney: the cancer that “prefers male to female” Since ancient times, the waist and kidney are not separate, but few people may know that back pain is also a big sign of kidney cancer. When other signs of kidney cancer such as hematuria and abdominal masses appear, it is often too late. Kidney cancer can appear at any age of adulthood and is “more male than female”, with some studies showing that the incidence rate in men is 2-3 times higher than that in women. This may be related to the different physiological characteristics of men and women, the high stress level of men in modern society, the “rough” diet and the more common smoking. Kidney cancer is often more insidious, so after 40 years old, you should check the kidney ultrasound annually. Colon: Cancer that is “blocked” The intestine is the “gas station” and “sewer” of human body, where the food eaten is decomposed and absorbed, and the remaining residue is discharged out of the body. If there is a blockage, the stool will remain inside for a long time, and many kinds of toxins will be repeatedly absorbed by the intestine and stimulate the intestinal wall, which may lead to cancer. People who are often constipated or have stool but not excreted may “block” colorectal cancer, and the incidence rate is several times higher than normal people. Blood in stool is one of its early symptoms, but most people’s first reaction is that they may have hemorrhoids, and self-misdiagnosis thus hides the danger signal. To fight colon cancer, it is important to avoid long-term consumption of high-fat and high-calorie foods, and eat more fiber-rich foods to keep the “sewer” open; if you have intestinal polyps, they should be removed early. Esophagus: “Eat while it’s hot” cancer The words “eat while it’s hot” and “drink while it’s hot” are often heard at the Chinese dinner table, but in fact, they have already laid a hidden danger for esophageal cancer. The mucous membrane of esophagus is very fragile, so boiling water and overheated food can scald the mucous membrane of esophagus and cause oral mucositis and esophagitis, which may lead to cancer after a long time. In addition, people in many areas like to eat sauerkraut, and research shows that nitrosamines in sauerkraut are also an important cause of esophageal cancer. Therefore, don’t eat moldy food, eat less or no sauerkraut, eat less overly hot food, don’t eat too fast, and drink limited alcohol to reduce the irritation to esophageal mucosa. Pancreas: the most difficult cancer The pancreas located in the lower left abdomen is only two to three centimeters wide, but it is the largest lymphatic organ in the human body, so pancreatic cancer is the most difficult to treat and is known as the ‘king of cancers’. Steve Jobs, the head of Apple, was diagnosed with this cancer. The pancreas is surrounded by rich blood vessels and is closely adjacent to liver, gallbladder, stomach and intestines, affecting as many as five or six organs, so it is difficult to detect early and the surgery is difficult and risky. Abdominal pain or upper abdominal fullness is its first symptom. If you have repeated “stomach pain” or even lower back pain, you should have a blood test for screening. Eating too much and eating sweets are the catalysts of pancreatic lesions. Lymph: the most widespread cancer In human body, lymphatic tissue exists in all parts of the body except for a very few organs, so the location of lymphoma can be the most widespread, mostly in the neck at first. It is believed that the lymphatic system is in an active state when a person is 20-40 years old, so most of those who get sick are young adults. However, lymphoma can occur at any age, from children to the elderly. Lymphoma is a type of cancer that can be cured. The early symptoms of lymphoma are similar to those of the flu. After each bath, you can check yourself by touching your whole body in the mirror, focusing on the neck, armpits, groin and other areas to see if there are any unexplained swollen lymph nodes. Bladder: Cancer out of “holding” When you have the urge to urinate, you always go to the toilet only when you can’t hold it anymore. And once the bladder becomes cancerous, it is often in the middle and late stages when it is discovered. Do not underestimate the “power” of smoking, research shows that a variety of toxic substances in cigarettes can increase the concentration of carcinogens in the urine. Many people have experienced intermittent hematuria, which disappears on its own soon after, and then ignore it. In fact, this is often a clear sign of bladder cancer. Most of the targets of bladder cancer are middle-aged and older people over 40 years old. It is important to drink more water to reduce the irritation and damage to bladder mucosa, and drinking yogurt every day can also reduce the incidence of bladder cancer.
