What does autism spectrum disorder mean?

Autism spectrum disorder, is a general term for a group of disorders such as typical autism, atypical autism, Asperger’s syndrome, borderline autism, and autistic suspicion. Typical autism has three core symptoms. i. Social communication impairment, the inability to communicate normally with others. Second, low expressive language skills, mostly seen after normal language development, and then regression of language. III. Obvious stereotyped movements and behaviors. Many patients clinically do not have the very typical triad, and may have dysfunction in only one or two areas. Although all three areas are dysfunctional, the degree varies. Some aspects are severe and some aspects can be close to the average pediatrician. So using the concept of autism spectrum disorders to encompass this type of disorder with varying degrees of impairment would not necessarily be a typical triad to qualify for a diagnosis of autism, but more precisely within the spectrum, only with varying degrees of deficits.
