Does an epidural cyst go away on its own?

Epiglottic cysts, do not disappear on their own. They are mostly located on the lingual surface of the epiglottis and are mostly round swellings. When the cysts are small, they can have no symptoms and are mostly found unintentionally when the throat is examined. When the cyst is larger, it can cause a foreign body sensation in the throat and even cause dyspnea and suffocation, and sometimes it is easy to complicate acute epiglottitis. Most of them are found under indirect laryngoscopy or fiberoptic laryngoscopy, and they are clearly defined round cysts without surrounding redness. Surgical intervention is required when the epiglottic cyst causes symptoms such as foreign body sensation, dyspnea, and recurrent acute epiglottitis. At present, we mostly use plasma ablation of epiglottic cysts, which is minimally invasive and has the advantages of quick recovery, less bleeding, less pain, and no recurrence after surgery.
