Interventional outcomes are relatively good in patients with mid-stage liver cancer.
But for patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (e.g., number of liver lesions with more than 3, vascular invasion, extrahepatic metastases) receiving interventional therapy may not be effective, and systemic therapy is recommended as the main treatment or interventional combined with systemic therapy.
Patients with end-stage hepatocellular carcinoma are recommended to receive symptomatic supportive therapy and palliative care.
