Scoliosis brace treatment FAQ

Hello, Director Wu! I hope you can take time out of your busy schedule to look at my daughter’s film, and please answer a few questions for me, thank you very much! (I originally asked this question on the 2825th floor, so I’m uploading it again because your response didn’t match.       My child’s current status: 13 years and 5 months old, menstruating for 1 year and 3 months. Scoliosis was discovered during a physical examination in March this year, and a brace was put on in April. Now she can spend more than 20 hours a day with the brace. She participates in physical education classes at school off-frame, swims 1,000 meters twice a week or does orthopedic gymnastics for half an hour or less (hanging bar and swallow fly taught by the brace company), and breathes deeply 300 to 500 times a day. At present, the brace company proposes to go back for a review in July (without taking pictures), and to take pictures in October after 5 hours of unbracing to see the effect.       My questions are as follows: 1. What is the degree of the brace after I put it on? What is the effect of the brace? Is the re-examination method proposed by the brace company feasible?        2. What is the child’s bone age? How long is the time left for brace treatment?       3.The child’s chest is still relatively flat, is it affected by scoliosis?        Director Wu Jigong: 35 degrees before surgery, 15 degrees after surgery (computer measurement has errors due to your shooting angle), the orthopedic effect of the coronal plane of the brace can be achieved. However, the rotational orthosis in the lumbar segment is slightly aggravated, and the overall trunk is left, so the lateral bend will bounce back after the brace is removed. The brace needs to be adjusted, and it can be adjusted in March, but the adjustment of the brace company is mostly limited to the coronal plane adjustment, which is very limited and has defects in the overall balance of the spine. Since you did not have a macro when you took the picture, it is not clear how much bone age you have. Theoretically, the prime time window for brace treatment is about six months. (counting from now). There are two factors in chest development, estrogen levels and compression of the scoliosis brace.
