Based on the establishment of clinical diabetic retinopathy (DR) image database, we developed the application software technology for the database, which has the characteristics of combining typicality and universality, and can guide the diagnosis and treatment of most clinical patients with DR, including the screening and diagnosis of some difficult diabetic patients, such as the elderly diabetic patients over 80 years old, diabetic patients with systemic cardiovascular, respiratory and renal diseases, etc. It can avoid life-threatening adverse events in the implementation of imaging examinations, and also meet the diagnosis and treatment of some diabetic patients who are highly sensitive and unwilling to undergo FFA examinations. The use of DR image database diagnosis and treatment technology to obtain color images of the patient’s fundus to virtualize FFA images is beneficial to the judgment of DR disease, helping to form a more standardized invasive FFA examination in the DR diagnosis and treatment of reasonable recommendations, to prevent excessive examination and waste of medical resources. Primary medical workers at all levels, with the rich database image content as the basis, can quickly improve DR early diagnosis and treatment through DR image database software technology training.
