Indications and contraindications for lung lavage

  Indications for large volume lung lavage are: 1. All stages of pneumoconiosis (coal workers’ pneumoconiosis, silicosis, casters’ pneumoconiosis, welders’ pneumoconiosis, cement pneumoconiosis, potter’s pneumoconiosis, asbestos pneumoconiosis and other stages of pneumoconiosis due to various inorganic dusts and intra-pulmonary dust deposits) under the age of 65 years, without active tuberculosis, without pulmonary alveoli, without serious heart or other parenchymal organ diseases. There are indications for all stages of pneumoconiosis, especially for pneumoconiosis observation, one stage, two stage as the best. Stage III pneumoconiosis can still be treated with lavage as long as the conditions for lung lavage are met, and all can achieve more satisfactory results after surgery.  2. Alveolar protein deposition.  3, mucus thickening.  4, Chronic non-limited purulent bronchiectasis.  5.Chronic infectious bronchitis with sputum clot obstruction.  6.Foreign body inhalation (including inhaled dust, liquid foreign body, barium meal contrast agent, etc.).  7, radioactive dust inhalation cleaning.  Contraindications to high volume lung lavage: 1, combined with active pulmonary tuberculosis.  2.Large subpleural alveoli greater than 2 cm in diameter.  3.Severe pulmonary hypofunction.  4.Severe tracheobronchial malformation, resulting in double-lumen tube can not be in place.  5, combined with serious diseases or dysfunction of major organs such as heart, brain, liver and kidney.  6.Disorders of coagulation mechanism.  7, malignant tumor or immune deficiency.
