Is it important to have small nodules in the lungs?

Small nodules in the lungs are usually not important. If a patient has a small nodule with smooth margins and no burr sign, and the patient’s clinical symptoms are not obvious, the nodule is considered benign and is clinically reviewed on a regular basis. When the patient’s chest X-ray or lung CT shows intrapulmonary nodules, the nature of the nodules should be distinguished according to the morphology and size of the nodules as well as further examination. Benign nodules are mainly reviewed periodically, while malignant nodules can be further improved by sputum cancer cells, tumor series, bronchoscopic puncture biopsy and other related examinations. If malignant nodules are diagnosed, surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and targeted cell drug therapy can be considered according to the condition.
