Saffron can be taken as a decoction or as an infusion in boiling water.
Saffron is the dried stigma of saffron in the Iris family. It is sweet in flavor and flat in nature. It belongs to the heart and liver meridians. It has the effects of activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis (promoting blood circulation and eliminating blood stasis in the body), cooling the blood and removing toxins (referring to the treatment of blood-heat and toxins), and relieving depression and tranquilizing the mind.
Saffron can be used in treating menstrual obstruction and impediment in the abdomen, postpartum stagnation and obstruction of blood circulation, warm-heat poisonous spots (warm-heat poisonous evils invading the body resulting in blotches and patches on the skin), melancholy and congestion, and palpitation and frenzy.
Saffron is strong in activating blood circulation and can promote menstruation, so pregnant women are advised to use it with caution.
It is recommended that patients take saffron under the guidance of a doctor, do not take it on your own, so as not to delay or aggravate the condition.
