Uneven density of lung nodules with hairy borders is an imaging feature, which is mainly caused by factors such as cavitary tuberculosis and early stage lung cancer, and appropriate treatments can be chosen according to different causes. 1. Cavitary tuberculosis: it may be caused by infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. If the patient’s resistance is lowered and the body has a large number of Mycobacterium tuberculosis itself, it will induce cavitary tuberculosis. When patients undergo chest CT examination, it can be manifested as uneven density of lung nodules and rough border. Patients can use anti-tuberculosis drugs, such as isoniazid tablets, rifampicin tablets and so on. 2. Early stage lung cancer: If patients often smoke or stay in polluted environment for a long time, it is easy to induce lung cancer. Early stage lung cancer patients can be manifested as uneven density of lung nodules and rough border after chest CT examination, and patients need to undergo surgery under doctor’s guidance in time to control their condition. It is suggested that patients should consult doctors in time after the appearance of uneven density and rough border of lung nodules and actively treat under doctors’ guidance.
