Ptosis and clubfoot may be caused by cauda equina syndrome, trauma and cerebral palsy. 1. Cauda Equina Syndrome: Cauda Equina Syndrome is caused by damage to the cauda equina nerve due to lumbar disk herniation or lumbar spine fracture, which leads to dysfunction of urination and defecation as well as abnormal sensation of the lower limbs, and may result in foot drop and inversion of the foot. 2. Trauma: foot drop or foot muscle imbalance due to foot and ankle trauma, resulting in Achilles tendon contracture and soft tissue contracture around the ankle joint, resulting in foot inversion. 3. Cerebral palsy: Ischemia, hypoxia and traumatic factors cause lesions of the spinal cord and peripheral nerve roots, resulting in damage to the common peroneal nerve, which may lead to ptosis and inversion of the foot. When foot drop or inversion occurs, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for further examination, to clarify the cause with the help of the doctor, and to carry out targeted treatment or therapy.
