In general, sigmoid colon congestion and erosion is a condition in which there is congestion and edema of the intestinal mucosa due to enteritis. The sigmoid colon, between the descending colon and the rectum, is an intraperitoneal organ that is completely encased in peritoneum. The sigmoid colon is also called the S-shaped colon, part of the colon. The sigmoid colon is usually congested with hemorrhagic erosion as a result of colonoscopy, usually due to dyspepsia, enteritis, or constipation, resulting in localized mucosal impact, and then the state of mucosal congestion and edema. Patients with sigmoid colon congestion and erosion may have symptoms such as abdominal pain, fullness, vomiting, unformed stools, weight loss, and blood in the stools. If diagnosed with sigmoid colon congestion and celiac disease, it is recommended to carry out standardized treatment as soon as possible in order to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
