Inflammatory upper esophagus may be reflux esophagitis, radiation esophagitis as well as infectious esophagitis, which can be treated by oral medication and surgery.
1. Reflux esophagitis: In case of reflux esophagitis, gastric mucosal protectants and drugs to inhibit gastric acid secretion, such as bismuth potassium citrate and omeprazole, can be taken orally.
2. Radiation esophagitis: in case of radiation esophagitis, patients need to delay or suspend radiotherapy after evaluation by doctor, and at the same time, oral drugs such as colloidal bismuth pectin and bismuth citrate can be taken to protect the esophageal mucosa.
3. Infectious esophagitis: If it is fungal esophagitis, oral itraconazole, ketoconazole, etc.; if it is viral esophagitis, oral antiviral drugs, such as acyclovir, ganciclovir, etc..
It should be noted that if medication is not effective, it can be treated by surgery, such as esophageal dilatation.
If there is any discomfort, patients are advised to take regular treatment under the guidance of a doctor, and not to use medication on their own to avoid adverse consequences.
