Inner thigh strains can be treated with emergency treatment, medication, and rehabilitation exercises. 1. Emergency treatment (1) rest, after the injury should reduce or stop sports, avoid activities that cause pain in the injured area, lower limb muscle strain, can walk on crutches or walker. (2) Cold compress: Immediately with cold water local or with a towel wrapped in ice cold compress, 48 hours after the injury every 2~3 hours ice once, each time 15~20 minutes. After 48 hours of injury, change to hot compress. (3) Pressurized bandage: Use gauze or elastic bandage to properly pressurize and wrap the injured area to prevent swelling. Be careful not to wrap too tightly, so as not to hinder blood circulation. 24~48 hours later, the bandage can be removed. (4) Elevate the affected limb: Elevate the injured area above the heart, which can reduce edema. 2. Medication: In the acute stage, if the swelling and pain are obvious, NSAIDs can be taken orally for analgesia and swelling, such as acetaminophen, aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen sodium, and so on. Topical medications such as diclofenac diethylamide emulsion can also be used. 3. Rehabilitation exercises: After the acute pain and swelling subside and simple movements can be accomplished, rehabilitation exercises can be started gradually. Exercises include small-amplitude leg-pressing exercises, lunge-walking and knee-extension exercises, normal walking, and thigh and calf resistance pulling exercises with the help of elastic bands. If the muscle strain is more serious, external immobilization and surgery can be performed to repair it. Patients with inner thigh strains should seek medical attention in time and standardize treatment under the guidance of a doctor, so as not to cause secondary damage and delay the condition.
