Self-treatment with McKenzie therapy, for back pain caused by ambulation or bending, you can take a prone position, with the upper body propped up with both arms as far as possible, the lower body against the bed, so that the waist as far back as possible. If this action can make you feel more relaxed, but not lasting, you may want to slowly exhale after propping up. In this way, most of the back pain can be relieved. If the back really hurts too much to complete these actions, you can put one or two pillows on your chest and lie on your back for a while (about half an hour), and most of the pain will be relieved. This therapy is simple, non-invasive and can be tried at home.
