Common symptoms of manic episodes

A sustained period of abnormal emotional high or irritability. 1. increased or exaggerated self-confidence; 2. high energy; 3. decreased need for sleep; (e.g., feeling well rested on 3 hours of sleep) 4. more talkative than usual, or eager to talk; 5. feeling quick thinking and a plethora of ideas; 6. inattentiveness; (attention is particularly easily distracted by external matters) 7. increased activity; (can manifest as increased social activities (more active at work/school, more sexual behavior) 8, more like to do some risky recreational activities.
