Mania belongs to several levels of mental illness

The level of psychosis to which mania belongs depends on its severity and cannot be generalized. Mental illness is not graded, but its violent and impulsive behavior can be graded. Mental illness is divided into 6 levels: Level 0 is the absence of any manifestation or behavior in levels 1-5; Level 1 is the patient’s manifestation of verbal threats, shouting, etc.; Level 2 is the patient’s behavior of smashing property at home, which can be stopped by persuasion; Level 3 is the patient’s behavior of smashing property regardless of the occasion, which cannot be stopped by persuasion; Level 4 is the patient’s behavior of persistently hurting people and destroying things regardless of the occasion, which cannot be stopped by persuasion. Level 5 is a patient who is armed with a weapon and commits violent acts against people regardless of the occasion. If it is a mild manic patient, the impairment of social function is mild, mainly manifesting as symptoms such as energetic, increased speech, and increased activities, which belong to grade 0-1 psychosis. If it is a severe manic patient, it belongs to grade 2-5 psychosis according to its specific situation, which may have different degrees of social function impairment or affect social security and cause adverse effects to family and society, so the specific performance depends on its performance. After patients appear manic symptoms, they need to be accompanied by their family members, go to the psychiatric department of the regular hospital in time, and take drugs for control as soon as possible. In addition, patients should establish the concept of long-term treatment in order to avoid recurrent attacks.
