Bedwetting in children should be treated with medication only if the cause is determined to be a disease, which is usually frequent in children over 5 years of age, such as twice a week or more. The first line of medication is desmopressin and other anticholinergic drugs such as oxybutynin, tolterodine, propiverine, promethazine and meclofenoxate hydrochloride. Care needs to be taken to consult a medical professional before using the medication and not to use it on your own.
