The use of different blood glucose meters is similar, generally divided into the following steps. Firstly, take out the blood glucose meter and related equipment, check whether there is any damage and the test paper is intact. Wash your hands with warm water or disinfect with alcohol cotton pad and dry naturally. Take out the blood collection needle or blood collection pen and install the needle, adjust the depth. Discard the first drop of blood after it flows out, then apply the blood glucose test strip and wait for a few seconds for the blood glucose value to appear automatically. To avoid pain during blood collection, choose the side of the finger and rotate the finger for blood collection. To reduce the error, do not squeeze the finger partially, and do not insert the blood glucose meter after putting the blood glucose drop on the substance first. The values of blood glucose meter and intravenous blood glucose are somewhat different, and either one needs to be calibrated periodically. And it is necessary to draw venous blood glucose regularly to compare. As for the specific monitoring frequency should be determined according to the condition, the blood sugar can be measured several times a day before it reaches the standard and stable, and the number of measurements can be reduced after it is stable, but it should be noted that not only fasting but also postprandial blood sugar should be measured.
