What to watch for in your diet if you have an adverse reaction to prostate cancer treatment

Prostate cancer may have some side effects and uncomfortable reactions during the treatment process, and these side effects can be improved by a healthy diet. 1. Vomiting: Try colder foods because cold foods do not have a strong odor; it is also better to have lower fat content because lipids are not easy to digest. 2.Constipation: Encourage eating foods high in dietary fiber and increasing fluid intake and drinking more water. 3.Frailty and emaciation: It is recommended to eat high protein foods as additional meals, or it is also better to eat less and more meals. 4.Diarrhea: Eat less and drink more water, drink fruit juice, water, carbonated drinks without theophylline and caffeine; avoid alcohol, strong tea, coffee and prune juice; avoid high-fiber foods; avoid greasy fried foods; avoid spicy stimulation; avoid too cold or too hot foods. 5, hot flashes: some foods are provoking factors for hot flashes, such as chili peppers, caffeine, hot drinks, alcohol (including red wine), should be avoided as much as possible. 6.Osteoporosis: It is recommended that prostate cancer patients over 50 years old should consume 1500mg of calcium daily, which can be obtained from food or calcium supplements, but not more than 2500mg daily. 7.Muscle loss and weight gain: A low-fat and low-calorie diet is recommended, together with regular exercise.
