Dextro Lansoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, is the dextro form of Lansoprazole. The drug is converted to an active sulfenamide derivative in the acidic environment of the cells of the stomach lining, and when the active substance is attached to the sulfhydryl group of the potassium hydroxide pump, it blunts the potassium hydroxide pump thereby inhibiting the secretion of gastric acid.
This product is used in the clinic for non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease causing heartburn, erosive esophagitis as well as the maintenance treatment of erosive esophagitis, generally after 4 weeks of medication, the effective rate can reach about 75% to 100%. When taking the drug should pay attention to whether there is constipation, dry mouth, diarrhea and other adverse reactions, pregnant women, lactating women, drug allergies, liver dysfunction and the elderly should be used with caution.
