Are liver cysts and liver tumors the same kind of disease?

Liver cyst and liver tumor are not the same kind of disease. Liver cyst is a congenital developmental disease, it is a benign lesion, which means that liver cyst will remain stable for a long time without deterioration of the disease, and it is a significant hypodense change on CT. While tumors of the liver may be benign, the vast majority are malignant, benign tumors such as fibrous tissue hyperplasia, while malignant tumors such as primary liver cancer, liver sarcoma and other conditions. Malignant tumors of the liver belong to conditions that can undergo distant metastasis or local infiltrative growth, which means that they can endanger the life of the patient in a short period of time. Therefore, liver cysts and liver tumors, belong to two nature lesions that are completely different.
