Red dates have the effect of tonifying the middle and benefiting the qi (by tonifying the spleen to treat qi deficiency), nourishing the blood and tranquilizing the mind; wolfberry has the effect of tonifying the liver and kidney, benefiting the essence and brightening the eyes; cinnamon has the effect of tonifying the heart and spleen, nourishing the blood and tranquilizing the mind; astragalus has the effect of tonifying the qi and elevating the yang, fixing the surface and stopping the sweat (stopping the sweat by consolidating the surface of the muscle), and inducing diuresis to reduce swelling, and other effects. Theoretically, the four of them have the above therapeutic effects when they are brewed together.
Red dates are used in the treatment of spleen deficiency with little food, weakness and loose stools (thin and unformed feces), and women’s dirty agitation (upset and depression, sadness and wanting to cry for no reason). However, red dates should not be taken by people with dampness in the middle (too much dampness causing fullness and discomfort in the spleen and stomach) or with stagnation or phlegm-heat.

However, the medicinal ingredients that can be precipitated from the herbal infusion are relatively small, so it cannot replace the medication to treat the disease. Therefore, it is recommended to use Chinese herbs reasonably under the guidance of a Chinese medicine practitioner in order to prevent mistakes.
