Hepatitis B V positive does not mean that it was infected yesterday. Hepatitis B 5 positive means that the hepatitis B core antibody is positive. The result of this test may be a sign of previous infection with the hepatitis B virus but has recovered, or it may indicate that the body is being infected by the hepatitis B virus, that there is replication of the hepatitis B virus in the body, that there is acute hepatitis B, that there is chronic hepatitis B, or that the individual has a hepatitis B that is in a stage of recovery, and so on. It is not possible to accurately determine this simply by relying on a positive hepatitis B test. Individuals who are found to have a positive test result for hepatitis B should cooperate with their doctors for further tests to make a clear diagnosis. It is important to determine whether or not one is infected with the Hepatitis B virus, and then implement a targeted treatment program.
