What is the blood test during menstruation

The menstrual blood test is the six gonadal items, which are tested on days 2-4 of the menstrual cycle, with day 3 being the standard. Because of fluctuating hormone levels, if the results are abnormal, at least one more test is performed. The test mainly includes follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol, progesterone, testosterone and prolactin. Other tests that reflect ovarian reserve function include anti-Mullerian hormone, which is not affected by the menstrual cycle, can be tested at any time and is more accurate than the six gonadal tests. Sinus follicle count refers to follicles of 2-10 mm and is detected by vaginal ultrasound on days 2-5 of the menstrual cycle; a count of less than 3-6 indicates decreased ovarian function. Inhibin B and clomiphene stimulation test can also be used to detect ovarian reserve function.
