How to treat corneal edema

The treatment of corneal edema should be different according to different causes. First, keratitis, keratitis, corneal ulcers can lead to corneal edema, which should be treated for the cause, control and treatment of corneal inflammation, corneal edema naturally reduces or subsides after corneal inflammation is controlled. Second, corneal edema caused by internal eye surgery, also known as corneal endothelial cell edema, should be given anti-inflammatory treatment, such as tobramycin dexamethasone eye drops, 1 drop 4 times a day, and pralophane eye drops, 1 drop 4 times a day. In severe cases of corneal edema, hypertonic sugar drops, 1 drop 4 times daily, can also be applied to dehydrate the cornea and temporarily reduce corneal edema. Corneal edema caused by internal eye surgery can subside with treatment. Very few patients have severe endothelial edema, which can lead to corneal endothelial cell loss.
