Walking limp with patella fracture may be caused by unhealed or deformed fracture, soft tissue injury, traumatic arthritis, adhesion of surrounding tissues and so on.
1. Fracture not healed or deformity healed: due to short time after fracture or not take regular treatment measures, patients pull the patella when walking, due to pain and dare not exert, thus causing patients to walk lame symptoms.
2. Muscle injury: mostly seen in patellar fracture with soft tissue injury, the patient walks with muscle injury and dare not exert oneself, thus causing the patient to walk with limp symptoms.
3. Traumatic arthritis: common in patellar fracture with joint surface injury, the joint surface is uneven after healing, uneven force, the gradual formation of traumatic arthritis, symptoms of walking with limp can occur.
4. Peripheral tissue adhesion: most commonly seen in patella fracture after long-term fixation, in the fracture recovery period is not timely or correct functional exercise, the surrounding soft tissue adhesion, thus causing stiffness of the knee joint, limited activities leading to walking limp phenomenon.
Patella fracture walking limp may also have other reasons, it is recommended that the patient early hospital review, clear cause of the standardized treatment, in order to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
