How long does it take to recover after cryptorchidism surgery

Cryptorchidism surgery is a kind of surgery unique to men, and there will be obvious damage to the testicles and scrotum area when the surgery is performed. Therefore, it takes a certain amount of time to fully recover after the surgery, and the recovery time varies from 3 to 6 months, depending on the individual’s physical quality, the surgery method, and post-operative conditioning. When cryptorchidism surgery is performed, the testicles need to be forced to be traction and treated, and the testicles need to be fixed before the treatment effect can be achieved. It is inevitable that the testicles and the pubic area will be damaged during the operation, so it takes a period of time to fully recover after the operation. The recovery time depends on the individual’s physical condition. People with good physical condition will have a faster recovery time and will be able to fully recover in about two months after surgery. People with poor health will only need half a year or more to fully recover. Traditional surgery requires an open abdomen and relatively longer recovery time, which may take six months to a year to fully recover, while the minimally invasive surgery nowadays is very small and can be fully recovered in 2 to 3 months after surgery. People who do well in post-operative diet and care will definitely recover faster than those who do not. You should not engage in strenuous physical exercise within six months after surgery, eat more food with high protein content, spicy and stimulating food should not be eaten, and review regularly.
