Prevention for patients with orchitis

  1.Cause: Simply put, when the resistance is low, pathogenic bacteria invade the epididymis behind the testicles, causing infection.  2.Common causes: urinary tract infection, prostate enlargement, trauma, alcohol consumption, diabetes, staying up late and being sedentary, etc.  3.Harm: Pain, fever, hard nodules in the epididymis, infertility, etc.  4.Treatment: Antibiotic treatment, usually intravenous drip for one to two weeks and oral for two to four weeks.  5.Is there any other diseases: Yes, it needs to be distinguished from testicular torsion and varicocele.  6.What are the precautions: (1) More bed rest, elevate the testicles, the pain will be reduced.  (2) Avoid drinking alcohol and spicy food, drink more water and avoid sexual intercourse.  (3) Early cold compresses can be applied, and hot compresses can be applied after the inflammation is controlled.  7.What will happen if treatment is not timely or appropriate: It will turn into chronic epididymitis and cause hard nodules in the epididymis that cannot subside.
