Facial palsy requires comprehensive treatment, do not believe in “partial prescriptions”

Peripheral facial palsy, especially in the acute and stable phases, requires the intervention of comprehensive treatment including Chinese and Western medicines, acupuncture and physiotherapy in order to improve the edema compression and inflammatory state of the facial nerve, improve local circulation, promote the recovery of nerve function, shorten the course of the disease, and reduce sequelae. It is best to be cautious about the partial prescriptions guaranteed to cure facial palsy by some doctors or even charlatans. Because we only have one face, there is no regret medicine to eat if we are harmed by a liar. Some empirical treatments, or what we call prescriptions, do have curative effects, even better ones, but I still think it is better not to use just one method and pin your hopes on one basket, such as applying a few ointments or something like that. Acupuncture, Chinese and Western medicines, and compresses can be used together. Trust in science.
