The contraindications for the compounding of Poria are not clear at this time. Poria is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, for the Polyporaceae plant Poria holding the kernel of the pine root. Its flavor is sweet, light, and flat; it is attributed to the heart and spleen meridians. It has the effect of tranquilizing the heart and tranquilizing the mind and inducing diuresis. Clinically, Poria is mainly used to treat palpitations, dizziness (violent heartbeat and panic), insomnia, forgetfulness, and dysuria (unsmooth urination). Fu Shen is usually taken in decoction; or in pills or powder. Caution should be exercised when taking Fu Shen for those with kidney deficiency, urinary incontinence or incontinence, or for those with cold and slippery semen. It should be noted that the efficacy of a single Chinese medicine is limited, and clinically it needs to be used in combination with other Chinese medicines after identification by a Chinese medicine practitioner.
