Laryngoscopy: A smooth, translucent, teardrop-shaped neoplasm with a tip is often seen in the anterior-middle portion of the free edge of the vocal folds. Sometimes there are polypoid lesions with a wide base at the free edge of the vocal folds, and there are also polypoid lesions with diffuse swelling throughout the vocal folds. The polyps are mostly grayish or reddish in color and vary in size from mung beans to soy beans and are often tipped. Like purple grapes, it can move up and down with respiratory airflow, and can suffocate if it is tightly embedded in the vocal cords. Laryngeal dynamic microscopy: poor periodicity, symmetry, amplitude, mucosal waves weaken or disappear, vibration off relatively weak, when the lesion from the mucosa to deep tissue development, mucosal waves disappear gradually evolve to vocal cord vibration weaken or disappear. 1, if the vocal fold vibration is not at the vocal fold vibration edge, the vocal fold vibration can be undisturbed; 2, edema-like polyps, the quality of the vocal fold cover layer can be reduced, and the mucosal wave is normal or enhanced; 3, if the polyp contains a hemorrhagic, jelly-like matrix or fibrosis, the quality of the vocal fold cover layer increases, and the mucosal wave is weakened. In addition, incomplete closure of the raw portal and asymmetric vocal fold vibration are seen.
