Early stages of colitis, how to treat

Colitis is divided into acute colitis and chronic colitis, and the early treatment includes general treatment such as diet adjustment, drug treatment such as ciprofloxacin, bifidobacteria and mesalazine.
1. Acute colitis: patients should have sufficient rest, fluid or semi-fluid diet during the acute activity period, and eat nutritious, easy-to-digest food with little residue after improvement. Commonly used drugs are mesalazine, prednisone, hydrocortisone and so on. Correct water and electrolyte balance disorder, fasting and intravenous supplementation in severe cases.
2. Chronic colitis: commonly used drugs are ciprofloxacin to control infection; montelukast to stop diarrhea and reduce intestinal peristalsis; atropine to eliminate spasmodic abdominal pain; bifidobacteria to correct intestinal dysbiosis, etc., and at the same time, more rest, light diet.
If diagnosed with colitis early, it is recommended that early standardized treatment to reduce the adverse effects of the disease. The above drugs need to be used under the guidance of a doctor.
