What is allergic eyelid dermatitis?

Allergic eyelid dermatitis is actually a localized manifestation of facial dermatitis. For the face, especially the eyelids, the skin is thin, with a very thin stratum corneum and epidermis, so inflammatory reactions can easily occur. In particular, epidermal congestion and inflammatory exudation following allergen irritation often cause inflammatory skin changes in the eyelid area. Most of these inflammatory changes appear as flaky erythema on the eyelids bilaterally, especially on the upper eyelids, and some may have an exudative reaction. Of course, in addition to this, there is also the possibility of facial reoccurrence of dermatitis, induced by dermatitis of the eyelids. This condition needs to be actively treated with some medications orally and topically in conjunction.
