What is extensive anterior wall myocardial infarction

Extensive anterior wall myocardial infarction belongs to the more serious disease state of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease. The clinical manifestation is that the patient has persistent chest pain, pressure or shortness of breath, heart failure that cannot be relieved, and in severe cases, the patient may even experience syncope, shock, and sudden death. The ECG manifestation is mainly bow-back upward type elevation in V1-V5 and even V6 leads in the chest, and there will be dynamic changes in cardiac enzymology. Once this condition occurs and persistent chest pain cannot be relieved, especially in patients with previous history of coronary heart disease, they should call 120 and go to the hospital in time for ECG examination and myocardial enzyme extraction. If the diagnosis is extensive anterior wall infarction, early hemodynamic reconstruction therapy, i.e. PCI to place stents, should be performed to try to save the surviving myocardium. Time is more important, the earlier the diagnosis is made, the earlier the offender vessel is opened, usually the anterior descending branch supply vessel, the better the prognosis will be, and the risk of sudden death will be reduced accordingly, the longer the time is not conducive to remission.
