A positive HFMD antibody indicates that the child is currently infected or has been infected with HFMD. The main infected population of HFMD is children between the ages of six months and five years, and HFMD is transmitted by gastrointestinal, respiratory, and direct contact. The rash can be mung bean-shaped or rice-grain-shaped and usually disappears on its own in about 2-4 days without leaving any pigmentation or scarring, and most children with HFMD are mildly ill, with only about 2% showing severe symptoms. Most children with HFMD have mild symptoms, and only about 2% have severe symptoms. During the onset of HFMD, children should avoid spicy foods, drink warm water, rest more, and improve immunity.
