Children with Tourette’s syndrome, or pediatric Tourette’s syndrome, should eat a diet of nutritious and easily digestible foods, with fewer foods that are spicy and stimulating, contain additives, and flavor enhancers. Pediatric Tourette syndrome is characterized by recurrent episodes of involuntary tics and behavioral disorders. This disease may be related to central neurotransmitter imbalance, genetics, perinatal abnormalities and mental factors. Diet should be based on nutritious and easily digestible food, with plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits high in vitamins, and foods high in protein, iron and zinc (such as meat, eggs and milk). Avoid spicy, stimulating food, do not overeat, eat less greasy, fried, raw and cold food, as well as containing preservatives, artificial coloring, additives, flavor enhancers too much food, do not eat lead-containing foods, such as sunflower seeds, popcorn and so on. Patients with this disease should be standardized and reasonably treated under the guidance of a doctor.
