Objective : To explore the role of plastic surgery techniques in postoperative breast tumors. Methods : To review and summarize the postoperative cases of breast tumors treated by us from August 1988 to May 2011. Results : 25 cases of upper limb lymphedema, 63 cases of localized ulcers (including radioactive ulcers), 18 cases of chest wall defects, 107 cases of breast and nipple areola defects were treated. The treatment methods included: timely and reasonable postoperative functional exercise, elastic compression, local scar release skin grafting, (muscle) flap transfer, local wound cleaning and dressing change (including the application of VSD), breast reconstruction with local residual tissue, breast reconstruction with autologous tissue grafting and breast reconstruction with prosthesis. Conclusion : Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in humans and one of the major malignant tumors in women. It seriously jeopardizes their health. Surgical resection of the tumor is the only possible cure for breast cancer and is the treatment of choice. However, the upper limb lymphedema, local ulcers (including radioactive ulcers), chest wall defects, breast and nipple areola defects caused after tumor resection seriously affect their life and work. The data in this group show that plastic surgery techniques play a good role in the treatment of breast tumors after resection, especially in the treatment of local ulcers, chest wall defects and breast reconstruction with satisfactory results, so it is recommended that plastic surgeons should actively participate in the treatment of breast tumors for the benefit of patients.
