Scar hyperplasia generally refers to proliferative scarring, which is preceded by a rough surface, hard texture, itching, and pain that can be present when the patient’s scald falls off. However, due to the variability of individual conditions, it is impossible to generalize.
Proliferative scarring is a type of skin lesion that develops as a result of over-repair of new connective tissue after an injury or lesion to the dermis or deeper tissues. The main causes are lacerations, burns and scalds.
When the patient burns the scab, if the wound healing early, the color of the lesion area red, the surface of the dilated capillaries, the thickness can reach several millimeters or centimeters, the surface is rough, hard, less elastic, there is itching, pain and other uncomfortable symptoms, can be judged as a precursor to proliferative scarring.
With the gradual maturation of the scar, the dilated capillaries on the surface can disappear, the thickness of the lesion becomes thinner, and the texture gradually becomes softer. However, if the scar continues to proliferate, it can be treated with topical silicone gel with pressure to inhibit scar proliferation.
Patients need to keep the local skin clean and clean, avoid scratching the skin lesions, so as not to induce infection.
