Introduction to laparoscopy

Laparoscopy, similar to electronic gastroscopy, is an instrument with a miniature camera, and laparoscopic surgery is surgery performed using a laparoscope and its associated instruments: a cold light source is used to provide illumination, a laparoscopic lens (3-10 mm in diameter) is inserted into the abdominal cavity, and digital camera technology is used so that the images captured by the laparoscopic lens are transmitted via optical fibers to a posterior signal processing system and displayed in real time on a dedicated on a dedicated monitor. The doctor then uses the images of the patient’s organs from different angles displayed on the monitor screen to make an accurate analysis of the patient’s condition and to perform the surgery with special laparoscopic instruments. The procedures performed in the Department of Urology include: varicocele ligation, adult high cryptorchidopexy, seminal vesicle cystectomy, renal cyst/polycystic kidney decortication, adult hernia repair, pediatric high hernia ligation, pediatric cryptorchidopexy, pediatric high traffic sphincter ligation, ureterotomy for stone extraction, renal pelvisotomy for stone extraction, ureteral tumor resection, ureteral bladder implantation, and ureteral cortical adenoma resection. adrenal cortical adenoma resection, hydronephrectomy, nephrectomy for tuberculosis, etc.
