Chronic suppurative otitis media is primarily treated surgically. In some cases, some medications can be used to create the conditions for surgical treatment. When there is purulent discharge from the ear and there is no occupying lesion in the ear that affects the drainage of pus, ear drops can be used to control the infection. When the pus no longer flows, stop the ear drops for about a month and undergo surgical treatment. The ear drops that can usually be chosen are hydrogen peroxide and oxyfloxacin ear drops.
