Is it better to have a normal birth or a C-section?

Cesarean delivery and normal delivery are methods of terminating a pregnancy at full term. Choosing the right method of termination is the key to ensuring the health of the pregnant woman and her fetus. The advantages of cesarean and normal delivery are different, so the choice of cesarean or normal delivery needs to be decided on an individual basis. It is generally accepted that if the pregnant woman has no specific disease and the pelvis and fetal condition allow, then it is recommended to choose normal delivery to terminate the pregnancy. It is currently believed that normal delivery can increase the resistance of the fetus and promote the development of the fetal brain. If the pregnancy is complicated by an underlying disease and a cesarean section is indicated, then a cesarean section is recommended. Cesarean delivery can help to deliver the fetus in a short time and effectively avoid the danger to the fetus caused by vaginal delivery. However, many pregnant women in clinical practice nowadays choose cesarean delivery when it is not indicated. The main reason is that cesarean delivery can avoid the pain caused by vaginal delivery and reduce the pain of pregnant women. It is not recommended for pregnant women to choose cesarean delivery to terminate pregnancy when there is no indication for cesarean delivery. In summary, in the absence of abnormalities, it is recommended to choose vaginal delivery to terminate the pregnancy. When the indication for cesarean delivery exists, choose cesarean delivery to terminate the pregnancy.
