Leukocyte 14 is a white blood cell count of 14 x 10^9/L, which is considered high if it is an adult and a child, and not high if it is a newborn.
The normal range of white blood cell count is (4-10) x 10^9/L in adults, (5-12) x 10^9/L in children, and (15-20) x 10^9/L in newborns.
Leukocytosis may be physiologic: satiety, emotional excitement, strenuous exercise, high temperature or high cold, etc.; in women during menstruation, more than 5 months of pregnancy, and during childbirth.
It may also be pathological: many kinds of infectious diseases, severe tissue injury, acute hemorrhage and severe intravascular hemolysis, acute poisoning, leukemia, myeloproliferative disease, other malignant tumors.
When there is an elevated white blood cell count, it is recommended to consult a doctor to identify the cause and give targeted treatment or therapy.
