Visceral fat grade determination criteria

The criteria for determining visceral fat grade, also known as visceral fat index, usually requires a CT scan of the abdominal visceral tissue for testing. The visceral fat grade can be divided into 30 grades, which can be calculated according to the formula: Visceral fat grade = visceral fat area divided by 10 square centimeters. Visceral fat has a positive effect on the protection and support of the human liver, and a visceral fat level of 1-9 is normal and can be ignored. If the visceral fat index is greater than 10, it may lead to adverse diseases, even leading to hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, diabetes, etc. In serious cases, it may also lead to adverse cardiovascular disease, and reasonable treatment measures need to be taken in a timely manner to avoid deterioration of the condition. Regular testing of the body’s visceral fat level can have a positive effect on the prevention and treatment of certain adverse diseases.
