What does a cystic adnexal mass mean?

Adnexal cystic masses are cysts that occur above the adnexa, including fallopian tube cysts and ovarian cysts. It is best to check the specific location of the cyst before you can determine which location it is. Fallopian tube cysts can easily cause blockage of the fallopian tubes, which can easily lead to infertility or ectopic pregnancy. There are physiological and pathological ovarian cysts, and regular ultrasound examinations are needed to see the changes in the cysts before the type of cyst can be determined. Physiological ovarian cysts will gradually disappear with the menstrual cycle, while pathological cysts will not disappear on their own and can gradually increase in size with time. If the cyst is significantly larger than 5 cm and causes abdominal pain, prompt surgery is required and pathology is performed to rule out malignancy. If the cyst is a fallopian tube cyst, it also needs to be treated promptly by laparoscopic surgery. After surgery, anti-inflammatory drugs such as amoxicillin should be taken reasonably.
