Femoral head replacement is now a technically mature procedure with a relatively high success rate. Hip replacement is the ultimate and effective treatment for ischemic necrosis of the femoral head, rheumatoid arthritis, and fracture of the femoral neck in the elderly. With the development in recent decades, no matter the prosthesis material or surgical operation technology has a greater development, this surgery belongs to the more mature technology surgery, and the success rate of clinical surgery is relatively high. After surgery, patients can get down to the ground in a relatively short period of time, avoiding the complications caused by long-term bed rest, and recovering faster, which can significantly improve the survival rate and quality of life, such as the elderly femoral neck fracture. The risk of surgery is more related to the patient’s age, poor tolerance of surgery on internal organs, as well as the combination of multiple underlying diseases. The possibility of femoral head replacement needs to be determined by the surgeon after a thorough evaluation.
