For congenital high myopia combined with 300 diopters of astigmatism and a tilted optic disk, frame glasses, corneal contact lenses, or posterior chamber IOL implantation in crystalline eyes can be considered to correct myopia and improve vision.
High myopia is defined as myopia of 600 degrees or more. If myopia is combined with 300 degrees of astigmatism, the patient’s vision can be significantly reduced because of the higher degree. Patients can improve their vision by wearing frames or corneal contact lenses to correct myopia and astigmatism.
If the patient is an adult and wishes to remove the lenses, refractive surgery such as posterior chamber IOL implantation in crystalline lens eyes can also be considered to correct myopia and improve vision.
The tilted optic disk is caused by the lengthening of the eye axis due to high myopia, which usually does not require treatment and can be observed regularly.
It is recommended that patients with high myopia should consult a doctor in time to assess their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
