How to read the TCT test report form

The TCT test report may show the following results: 1) chronic local inflammatory reaction of the cervix; 2) no intraepithelial lesions or carcinoma; 3) atypical squamous epithelial cells are seen in the cervical epithelium; 4) low-grade lesions in the cervical epithelium; 5) high-grade lesions in the cervical epithelium; 6) cervical cancer, which is the report card of the cervical TCT test. In addition to unseen epithelial lesions, others require some clinical intervention, such as the presence of inflammation and aggressive anti-inflammatory treatment. For example, the presence of low-grade lesions, high-grade lesions, and cervical cancer require aggressive clinical management accordingly. For atypical squamous cells, regular review should be given in the clinic.
