How long can you live with acute renal failure?

The length of life in acute renal failure is mainly related to the severity of the disease, treatment and individual factors of patients, which should be analyzed specifically and cannot be generalized. If the patient is in the early stage of acute renal failure, the physical condition is good, through active treatment to remove the specific causes of the disease, such as obstructive acute kidney injury patients to actively remove the obstruction, low blood volume patients given timely rehydration treatment, generally can achieve clinical cure, will not affect the survival. In contrast, if patients with acute renal failure persist in the oliguric phase without remission, it is an acute and critical condition, and if patients are combined with other underlying diseases such as hypertension and heart disease, the mortality rate can be as high as 70%-80%. About 50% of surviving patients need lifelong replacement therapy. Therefore, patients with acute renal failure should go to the nephrology department of a regular hospital for timely examination to clarify the cause, and individualized treatment plans should be formulated by professional doctors for early detection and early treatment.
