Is the new coronavirus afraid of alcohol?

The novel coronavirus can be inactivated by alcohol, but it requires a concentration of 75% alcohol, and 95% alcohol cannot kill the novel coronavirus. If the concentration of alcohol is too high (such as 95%), the protein on the surface of the bacterium will rapidly solidify (the higher the concentration, the faster the solidification) and form a protective film, which prevents the alcohol from penetrating into the virus, making it difficult to denature the nucleic acid and to kill the virus. Although the new coronavirus is more infectious, it is relatively fragile and can be easily killed by alcohol. After repeated experiments, it was finally found that 75% alcohol could both penetrate into the interior of the bacterium and kill the virus efficiently, so the sterilization effect was the best.
